JRC Board of Directors Announcement
October 2007
Earlier this year, we charged the Governance and By-law Committee with preparing recommendations for the Boards of the Jewish Rehabilitation Centers For Living. The goals given to the Governance and By-Law Committee included improving governance, utilizing volunteer leadership more effectively and positioning the Jewish Rehabilitation Centers For Living to serve our community long into the future.
The Governance and By-law Committee has done an outstanding job and met all of its objectives. All of the Boards of the Jewish Rehabilitation Centers For Living have unanimously accepted and approved the work of the Governance and By-law Committee.
We have clarified and strengthened the role of a single system-wide Board of Directors with subsidiary Boards and committees more focused on the important work of their respective units. This structure creates additional opportunities for volunteer leaders to serve on the Board and Board committees.
This decision has solidified our services, and we will continue to add meaning and purpose to the lives of seniors for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Mark S. Robbins Stephen H. Neff
Chairman of the Board President and Chief Executive Officer
