 Activities
Residents of the JRC Skilled Nursing Center are encouraged to take advantage of a full roster of planned activities. Daily programming may include entertainment by guest artists, discussion groups, exercise classes, and "theme" or holiday events. The Activities Department schedules frequent outings to:
- Cultural Events
- Museums
- Area Attractions
- Local Restaurants
JRC residents are very much a part of Boston's North Shore community, and frequent activities—both on and off site—are planned to preserve community involvement.
Members of the community are encouraged and welcome to visit the JRC and, in fact, an active inter-generational program brings children and residents together often. A group of dedicated volunteers devoted to enhancing the quality of life for residents offer such special services as:
- One-on-one visits
- Walks with residents
- Assistance on trips
- Letter writing
- Accompanying residents at activities
- Participating in religious services and holiday celebrations
